This is the easiest central locking kit available when compared to universal aftermarket kits, no guessing about mounting and fitting, just bolt and go.

The remote kit is a universal type kit which can be mounted behind the clocks.

Kit consists of:
2 RDX mounting Hella Motors
1 Wiring loom
2 Lock Rods
2 Clips for lock rods
HAWK Universal type central locking kit

RDX have created adapters to accept proper GERMAN made central locking motors as supplied to leading car manufacturers like Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and Audi.  These motors are not Chinese inferior products.

Motors have Super seal connections, twin core wiring is provided, this will require routing and alteration to suit your chosen application

Locks in doors must have three holes in the lock lever, as the bottom hole is for the central door locking rod, if not fitted we sell new door locks with the correct holes.

This kit is the basic system without wiring grommets the wiring to the car is down to you.

Basic fitting instructions
Remove door card
Early 1987 to 1993 Window winder is secured with a screw, 1993 to 2001 use a clip

Undo bottom nut securing inner panel to door frame
Fit RDX mounting plate
Refit nut
Fit RDX Rod to lock lever secure with clip provided
Hook Hella motor onto RDX Rod 

Top tip
slide a screwdriver or similar into door catch to imitate door shutting, now the lock button can be moved with door open this help with hooking rod onto HELLA motor

Secure Hella motor to RDX Rod
Connect wire and cable tie
Refit door card
Repeat for other side

Do these just bolt on without templates and drilling the door?
Yes all to factory mounting points!

Does it use adjustable rods?
No as factory systems do not use adjustable rods

Do you use cheap locking motors that I can buy anywhere for £2?
No we use German made HELLA motors

Can I just buy the rods and spend three days making them fit some £2 delivered from China motors?
No

So you have made a kit that bolts to a factory door and clips to the existing door lock?

Does the motor catch the window like my bodged in central locking system?
No provided your door is in good working order

Does your kit stop working as mine uses bullet style connectors which corrode due to the water getting into the connectors?
No as we use Super seal connectors facing 'downhill' German clever!
