The last modification to famed Parker Sonnet line was introduced in 2008 with four new patterns, two of which (info from PARKERPENS) were called GOLD and SILVER LUSTRE.  These are chiselled patterns, similar to the PERLE pattern except the tight lining is ornameted with tear-like forms cut into the longitudinal lining rather than pearls. Other differences also exist with the thinner cap banding which on this pen  is marked (LOGO), PARKER, FRANCE and 111U. THE date mark is clearly an error as it predates the induction of even the earliest Sonnets. The  pen has the cross hatched 18 fine width,  perfect, and  modestly flexible. The filler is a piston filler converter. This previously owned  mint condition pen apparently was never inked or dipped and never saw any significant use. Comes with original hard outer case box
