This appears to be a 1929-30 set of rebound books.  

It is a comprehensive, 1409-total-page, discussion of 4 Oriental Civilizations [ 362 (tome 1: Arab Civ.) + 370 (tome 2: India Civ.) + 358 (tome 3: China Civ.) + 319 (tome 4: Japan Civ.) = 1409 total pages ]

This is a complete, 2-book set.  These books appear to have been re-bound, and they both have rear-endpaper-labels from Stechert Hafner, Inc. New York city (see pic: these address labels are from the 1960s, before zipcodes were used.) 

This set is strongly and uniformly printed. It is a very attractive set of books. 

If this is a reprint of the original 1929-30 books, it does not have any statements identifying the name, date, or location of the printer of the reprint.
