Here is the opportunity to own a very rare vintage black WEAREVER traditional twist-action 1.1 mm propelling pencil featuring BRITISH TELECOM, fitted with lead, and fully functional.

The clip is clearly marked WEAREVER and U S A, which is secure, tight and bright, but there are marks on the pencil which appear to correspond to the clip having previously been rotated (see the last picture).

Otherwise, the pencil is in good condition, with general surface wear commensurate with age and use, including some fading/rubbing to BRITISH TELECOM. The mechanism works well in both directions.

It is thought that these pencils were issued to early BRITISH TELECOM telephone operators, and that the top of the pencils were used to "dial" the number.
