I tried to do a lot of visual comparisons to figure out if this was Hiroshima or Nagasaki. I'm on the fence. However, I do believe this is a city in either China or Japan. These could date to the 1930s or, obviously, after August of 1945. These photographs are from a collection belonging to a Japanese American family living in California circa 1900s to 1940s. The photographs are small at 2.25 x 3.25 inches but are highly detailed.
