Eau Torride Perfume by Givenchy, Eau Torride, or ‘torrid water’, was launched by the House of Givenchy in 2002. This refreshing scent is ideal for wearing during the day. The fragrance opens with fruity top notes of peach, lemon, mandarin orange and bergamot. The heart notes are jasmine and black elder and the base notes add complexity with sandalwood and bamboo.

Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy was born in France in 1927. He founded the House, which would take his name, in 1952 and originally concentrated on women’s fashion. The perfume line was introduced in 1957 and the following year Audrey Hepburn became the face of L’Interdit. Moving into men’s fashion in 1969, it wouldn’t be long before it expanded the range to include jewelry, shoes and home goods. Although he retired in 1995, the company is still known across the globe with designers including Julien McDonald, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen associated with the brand.
