10502PC / SIO2PC USB is a new version of well known SIO2PC device for every Atari 8-bit

Device works in one of two modes:

  • SIO2PC USB - connects the Atari SIO port to PC/MAC computer equipped with a USB port, so PC acts as floppy disk drive for Atari
  • 10502PC - connects the Atari floppy disk drive to a PC computer equipped with a USB port, so the PC can read / backup original 5.25" floppy disks.

Requirements

  • PC with a free USB port (works on other platforms like Mac/Linux)
  • Any 8bit Atari computer with a available SIO port

10502PC mode manual:

  • download ALibPc software archive from Lotharek\'s website (contact us for a link) and extract it to a folder on your hard drive
  • Before starting ALibPc, close any software processes using the device running in the background (ASPEQT/RESPEQT)
  • Install high-speed VCP drivers from a folder \drivers\Lotharek from downloaded archive. This is required to be able to use transmission speeds faster than 19,200 bps (like Ultra Speed or Synchromesh)
  • Refer to \docs folder in the unzipped archive for detailed documentation on installation and using of the software

Please note:

ALibPc software switches device to 10502PC mode. To switch back to SIO2PC mode (default) disconnect and connect back the device to USB port.
