The Dreamland Coast holiday center will one day be located somewhere on a remote Florida coast. The project has few chances and yet the stubborn real estate agent Marylin Fryer insists on repeatedly shipping potentially wealthy buyers there by ship in order to entice them to buy. But radioactive waste was dumped from a ship in the same area and the stuff was eaten by local ant colonies, so that they grew to gigantic size. Numerous participants on the trip fall victim to them and the survivors who make it to the next town are far from being saved, because strange things are going on in the local sugar refinery...
