Because glue drop located in a separate hole it stays fresh longer.  
Glue drop has to be replaced every 15-30 minutes depending from room temperature and humidity.
As you aware glue fumes are very toxic so when you start using new glue drop it is suggested to neutralize 
old drop (as for example with Primer Cleanser, spill small drop/amount of Primer Cleanser on top of the old 
glue drop it will dry off old drop quickly). Also you will never mix fresh glue drop with old used one.

You can use hole sides to get rid from extra glue if you have it on your fans. But correct way will be if you put 
your fans/lash slowly back in to the glue again and very slowly take those out, therefore extra glue comes off.
