A 1 1/2" wide antique POKER CHIP with a great inscribed picture of an OWL perched on top of a CRESCENT MOON on both sides.

• Material:   This poker chip is made out of pottery or a clay substance, some refer to these as made from a composite material.

• Condition:  This poker chip is in overall good condition. It has some minor detractions on it from age but there is nothing significantly wrong with it, NO cracks, chips, breaks, damage, etc.

• Age:  This poker chip is listed in the book on Old Poker Chips by Dale Seymour and is referenced to be ca. 1910.  We also saw these being offered for sale in a 1910 NORVELL-SHAPLEIGH HARDWARE COMPANY, ST. LOUIS, catalog, so the early 1900 date is consistent, ca. 1910 or so, 100 + years old!

Several years back a handful of these old poker chips were found inside of an old building in Deer Lodge City, Montana. It is just typical as that old town is the picture perfect old west town as depicted on TV and this old poker chip is a tangible remnant of that long  past era, check it out!
