Who/What
: ... Hartford 1898 Flag Repurposed Newspaper Golden Argosy Auxiliary Postal Card.  Card for the Argosy appears to have been used by J Barrows and Co judging from manuscript written over the checklist; printed address is manuscript adjusted to go to the publisher of science magazine or paper. The mystery to me is the violet auxiliary handstamp "TYPEWRITER Dec 24 1898" Can't figure out its meaning. There is a NY cds on the lower front and a blue received stamp from the company named on the front. No backstamp . Note: at upper right on the back side there is a small piece of paper adhesion.

There are either numbers, symbols, letter combinations at the end of the title line that are location markers and have no relation to the covers or items.

1.Thank you: We appreciate your business! Please do not hesitate to ask questions before purchase or placing a bid.

2. Please note: eBay USA and eBay.de have informed me (many different answers and interpretations of their rules ) that if you live in Germany, France, Austria you are not allowed to buy Third Reich stamps that depict Hitler although they are for sale in the thousands on your home country eBay sites. Additionally, you may not buy covers that are ANTI-Hitler. It is very confusing to me but in order to protect my account, I must exclude some countries from my shipping list.  Please do not bid on these stamps or covers. Contact customer service if this is not a correct interpretation of eBay rules in your country or contact your government officials and petition them to allow stamps collectors to be stamp collectors without restrictions.

3. Satisfaction Guaranteed. All items are original unless specified otherwise.

Important Foreign Shipping Note
All foreign mailings must now use the USPS International First Class Small Parcel rate when applicable by size and weight instead of the cheaper USPS International First Class Letter rate that I have used for 10 years to save postage charges for international customers. This unfortunate action by the USPS has significantly increased the postage charges for foreign locations. I am sorry for this USPS decision that will now affect not only me but also so many of my foreign friends who have made purchases from me in the past by raising the cost of international business dealings. Postage cost refunds will be given when warranted but these refunds will only be a few dollars depending upon what part of the world the USPS service is covering.
