Up for sale today is this Antique Rangley Maine Framed Hand Made Folk Art Hooked Rug. This is a terrific early 1900's folk art hooked rug in very good condition for its age. The rug features a laying cat with a ribbon around its neck and paw on a red ball of yarn in the center. The cat is surrounded by four flowers and leaves in each corner. The rug has no holes or repairs but there are three spots that the material is pulled out a bit. The rug measures 44" x 30". The former owners family bought a camp in Rangley Maine contents and all. This along with a few other hooked rugs were found in the camp. They had the rug was professionally laid (stitched) on a wood frame and used it to decorate the camp while they owned the property. Great piece of old Maine here, don't miss out!
