Antique Wooden Board Sign for NESTLE'S

Antique printed wooden board from the side of a box.

Wonderful old stencilled NESTLE'S logo on a wooden board from the side of a delivery box.

Interestingly it is spelt with an S whereas most if not all Advertising Logos and Signs for Nestle are spelt singular......NESTLE'

Now, in Australia we never pronounced Nestle the same as the rest of the world, we always called it Nestle, the rest of the world called it Neslay.

So, the conclusion is that it is a sign from an Australian Made Wooden Box.

Also, the logo you see was in use from 1938 to 1966 which makes this simple sign a rare collectable probably particular only to Australia and manufactured 

in the early to mid 20th century

The unique emblem was designed for the brand in 1868 and featured an image of the nest with four birds in it. It was a pretty detailed picture, where the branches and oak leaves could be seen.

Great to add to that collection of rare Australiana Advertising Signs.
