Hear 1969 Don Meehan Project Psychedelic DJ 45 (My Silent Symphony / Mon s Meg)
The Don Meehan Project – “My Silent Symphony” b/w Mon’s Meg” (Columbia 44897). Excellent summer of 1969 release by the Texas born artist / producer. The Don Meehan Project began during his recording-engineering career. When he wasn’t making a hit record for others at Columbia and Sony, he was always experimenting with his own voice, once recording Handel’s "Hallelujah Chorus", singing sixty voices himself acappella, in three vocal octaves. And in this instance, he put a rock band behind himself. In his career he has worked with recording artists such as Simon and Garfunkel, Barbra Streisand, and Bob Dylan. In addition, in a thirty-two-year tenure at Columbia Records, he released over thirty singles and three albums of his own songs. Take a listen to a little of each side. DJ Copy Record is in strong VG+ condition.
