The penguin from Schleich® WILD LIFE is an emperor penguin. It is the largest and heaviest of Allen penguins. He's also the only one who lives this far south in Antarctica. Emperor penguins do not build nests, they breed directly on the ice. While the female migrates to the sea after laying eggs to dive for fish, the egg is hatched by the male. It lays it on its feet and folds the belly fold over it to keep it warm. When emperor penguins want to get out of the water, they jump in a high arc onto the ice.
