Cartier has always represented a standard of excellence, luxury, taste, and stature. Easily identifiable in so many different manners... not to be presumed as affectations because that acknowledged standard is consistently upheld in quality. Yet, with such accolades and adjectives as the aforementioned, it tends to come with an attributed price. Although, the value is always sustained; price is justified by the quality.

Cartier began in the mid 1800s, Paris, by Louis Francois Cartier in Jewelry. Family owned and operated, they became known as the 'Jeweler of Kings' and/or 'King of Jewelers' for it wasn't uncommon for the jewels and designs to find themselves dripping from dignitaries of office and state. Cutting edge, creative, maintaining only the highest regard for that quality and style standard, Cartier continued to succeed in situating themselves, historically.

Understandably, it wasn't uncommon for companies of this ilk and prestige to pursue alternative avenues at the behest of the inheriting 3 Cartier sons. Beyond Jewelry, watches and... sunglasses for the concept of quality in these areas is not all that dissimilar from their jewelry. In watches, the Tank, the Tortue, the Santos, the Vendome... which brings us to this listing.
