DVD:  NORTH OF THE BORDER, Classic and Modern Machinery at Work in Scotland Part 1 - Scottish Spring

Filmed by Andrew Dalziel predominantly in Aberdeenshire in the North East and in Dumfriesshire in the west of Scotland, the mixture of arable and stock farming gives a fascinating and truly eye opening window into agriculture in this part of the world. Focusing on several different farms and contractors in these two areas, plus many other items of machinery seen at work, these DVDs are a must for any enthuisast of both classic and modern farm machinery. In Part 1 - Scottish Spring - Andrew brings us many interesting tractors and machinery, starting off with vintage and classic tractors at a ploughing match before moving onto winter tasks on various farms as we move from January slowly into spring. With ploughing, drilling, foresty work, manure spreading, potato planting and silage harvest all featuring as we move towards May. Highlights include: a turbocharged Case IH 956XL, still working John Deere 2130, a field full of modern Fendt tractors planting potatoes, an immaculate Ford 6410 and the Scotgrass 2016 demonstration, plus a great deal more.
