A WORLD-WIDE GUIDE TO MASSEY FERGUSON 100 and 1000 TRACTORS 1964-1988  ~ John Farnworth

John Farnworth’s series on Massey Ferguson, Massey-Harris and Ferguson products, this guide to the MF100 and MF1000 series is a timely addition to his existing works as this generation become collectors tractors in their own right. They represent a golden era of Massey Ferguson in terms of design, reliability and mass appeal. Their bold new design created a loved and lasting image of this era and of MF itself. In them Massey Ferguson created a range of tractors from about 20-200 hp with all types of chassis combinations – 2 WD, 4 WD, crawlers and articulated.

Using Massey Ferguson archive material collected from around the world, John has carefully identified some 250 models and variants, and described each type with specifications and photographs.

Other chapters explain how the tractors were launched, used and sold around the world, and how Massey Ferguson expanded their overseas production by establishing a Special Operations Unit. Three chapters are written by ex MF employees.

As usual, John Farnworth has left no stone unturned in his quest to bring this era of Massey Ferguson history to life.
