MB41PB Correctional Ported Barrel
Curved mouthpiece with upward and forward bend two hinges and centre piece with barrel for ISM. No restriction in the degree of collapse.
Offers lots of tongue relief to the compliant horse but will put downward pressure on top of bars when activated followed by downward pressure on top of the tongue and inward collapse on bars.
Level Two/Three - good for a strong horse with head down low or into the chest. Encourages horse up into the bridle.
Pelhams
Design: Using two reins the Pelham is a combination between a Dee ring and a straight shank. The Pelham has three rings on the shank: the top ring is for the headstall and curb chain the center Dee ring for the first rein and the bottom ring is for the second rein.
Function: Operates as both direct action and leverage bit using a curb strap or chain. With pressure on the first rein it works as a direct action bit exerting the same amount of pressure on the mouth as on the reins. With pressure on the second or bottom rein it works as a leverage bit tilting the mouthpiece forward and applying pressure to the parts of the mouth curb and poll.
Usage: Used in English disciplines.
Options: Patented bushing system which allows the shank to turn independently of the mouthpiece purchase and headstall.
The Correctional Ported Barrel (MB 41PB)
Design: Curved mouthpiece with upward and forward bend two hinges and centre piece with a barrel.
Function: Offers a lot of tongue relief. First puts downwards pressure on top of the bars then puts downward pressure on the top of the tongue and collapses inwards on the bars. Does not pinch or drive downward into the tongue. Palate pressure from the ported centre barrel. Each side moves independently.

Usage/Solution for: The Myler Correctional Ported Barrel works well for intermediate and spoiled horses. The upward bend offers a lot of tongue relief for wide and thick-tongue horses. Featuring independent side movement it is good for stopping and lifting a shoulder.
