This style custom motorcycle tank is often called an Alien tank, but this version has been narrowed, with no flat spot down the center and is round all the way across the center. It accepts any modern threaded Harley-Davidson gas cap and will accept 1/4" NPT petcocks. The mounting tabs are undrilled, allowing you to drill and mount your tank exactly how you want it. This style motorcycle gas tank was designed for universal use as it can be mounted on any other motorcycle frame with basic fabrication techniques, such as welding some threaded tophat bungs into the backbone of your motorcycle frame. Note: It is highly recommended to fit your gas tank to your bike before painting. Check for clearance or mounting issues as different combinations of triple trees, risers, and handlebars may cause clearance issues when turning. Tanks are pressure tested but it is highly recommended that you or your painter pressure test it again before painting; it's cheap insurance!
