Ipswich Town Supporters Handbook for 1957-8 season, with Supporters' Association 'Blue and White competition' insert.
At this time, Ipswich are managed by the innovative Alf (later Sir Alf) Ramsey, who, in his second full season as manager, has just led the club to the Third Division South title, earning them promotion to Second Division.
(From there Ramsey would lead them to the First Division title in 1961-2, and entry to the 1962-3 European Cup, before he was offered the position of England manager, going on to win the 1966 World Cup for England.)
The handbook gives a great picture of the club in the later 1950s, with stories, player profiles, some great photos, and lots of period ads.
Condition is mostly very good, though there is some damage to the cover and one page with a neatly drawn cross (see photos)
Dimensions: 16.5cm x 12cm
