~Fabulous Antique Hat Veil~

Circa early 1800s, a very beautiful Chantilly lace hat veil, shawl or Mantilla.  This veil has been made with the finest thread, light in the hand and is quite ethereal. The design is quite beautiful with large scale bouquets of elaborate flowers and leaves. The design has ornate scroll work throughout and has a gentle scalloped edge. One could say....poetry in motion as one can only imagine the great skill of the lace maker and of course the designer. 

In quite amazing condition for its age there are no stains-there are several broken brides (as shown).  

Approx Measurements- 17.5" long and 36" wide
