Description
​Vintage storyboard with 8 watercolor and ink drawings, each measuring 4 by 3 inches, accompanied by handwritten visual and audio descriptions for a television commercial (likely 30-seconds) about the loss of forest land due to fire, all glued to a 22 by 17 inch mat cardboard and then matted with cutouts to show the drawings and descriptions, in excellent condition. Although undated, it appears the ad was created in the 1960s or 1970s. Even though there is no reference to who sponsored the commercial, it was the United States Forest Service that developed Smokey the Bear and his motto, Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires in the 1940s. Original advertising art is uncommon.
