This candle holder is one of many of my handmade etched items. They are exquisite and the pattern will last for the life of the glass. Etching is a permanent removal of a part of the glass that gives a 'frosted' look to the pattern or design. It is permanent and will not wash off in the dishwasher. These are handmade items so there may be minor imperfections in the etching as opposed to a machine-made etched glass.
