here It is poplar burl wood, also called Mapa burl. Develop through external influences Poplars often have irregular stem formations. So it comes to a tuber formation in the trunk and not in the root area, the znumerous in shape and size irregular groups smaller black grain cores are interspersed and thus produce the grain appearance in the wood. The light basic color of the wood is often additionally enlivened by a varied play of colors, giving the wood a very special touch. Please note that small bark ingrowths or small hairline cracks/cracks can occur with burl and root wood! The wood is in the raw cut, air-dry (approx. 15%) production approx. November 2015, slightly arched, fine hairline crack at the ends, both sides were lightly pre-planed (but can still have uneven/rough spots, dimensions are maximum external dimensions! The widths were measured at many points on the tree disc. Possible stains are only superficial and can be sanded/planed! This great burl wood is particularly suitable for tables, river tables with epoxy/ecopoxide, living room tables, or other decorative design objects, as well as turning work, bodies for guitars and various instruments.... Each piece is unique and therefore a unique precious wood.
NOTE: The exact shipping costs MUST be requested before purchasing as there is a different price depending on the bank code/location. The disc would have to be shipped on a pallet with a freight forwarder. We have to inquire about this price first. Estimated between 80-150+/- Euro depending on the distance. The wood can also be cut/split (for Rivertables) and shipped in smaller pieces much cheaper. The price given for the shipping costs is only calculated by the system and is not valid! Please contact us, we still have a lot of different tree discs in stock - usually also the following discs to mirror 2 of the same discs/to put them together to form a table!
