FOLK POTTERY
This
product is a work of folk art. Such items, small and large, were made
from clay by hand by master potters. Each figurine and dishes was a work of art,
and basically it was rare to find two of the same, that is, the
figurine were almost never repeated. The sculptures were produced at
the Art Ceramics plant, which was located in the city of Oposhnya,
Poltava region and operated from 1800-2002. In addition, other master
potters made many products at home. To date, such sculptures and dishes are not
produced.
They look very impressive and can decorate any interior. This item was made in first half 19th century
Manufacturing technique: Clay, Pottery Wheel, Glaze (green & yellow), Modelling Clay, Identation by Fingers.
Such
dishes and sculptures are stored in private collections and in Museum of Ukrainian
Folk and Decorative Art, National Centre of Folk Culture " Ivan Honchar
Museum" and others Museums of Ukraine.
