Blushing Willy Mechanical Bartender
Blushing Willy is from the 1960's
He is 10" Tall
His face lights up when batteries are in
His arms are supposed to move, but I can't get them to.
He will likely need some help/assistance of the mechanically inclined.
He takes 2 "D" Batteries (not included)
He is made of Tin, Metal, Vinyl Rubber and Fabric
Condition/Issues: He is a little dirty in the face/hands.
Clothes are in good condition.
Hair is a little age-colored
Martini glass and bottle are present, but
martini glass has a crack - but it is all there, and it stays
together. But if you pull it a little apart - you can see it is cracked.
He lights up in the head, but I can't get the arms to move.
May be small or big problem - I am not mechanically inclined at all.
I think the fact he lights up - and the battery compartment is so clean,
is promising. The battery compartment door has been replaced with a hand-cut tin one - that seems to be working well as a replacement.
There are a few light scratches on his tin pants in back. When I put in the batteries, I had to turn the switch to "on" to make him light up. But thereafter, it seemed to stay lit up, whether the button was on or off.
Made in Japan - brand - I do not know.
There is a "Y" above the made in Japan printed on the pants.
