DIDYMIUM-ALTERNATIVE POLYCARBONATE LENS: Traditional didymium glass lenses are heavy and do not have sufficient protection against infrared and blue-light without extra welding shade lenses, adding weight and bulk. VetroSafe's VSF-3.0 Shade 3 lens provides equivalent functionality to didymium lenses with improved impact resistance, and lower weight thanks to its optical-grade polycarbonate base.

FOR SOFT AND HARD GLASS FLAMEWORKING: Shade 3.0 lens is suitable for soft glass lampworking and the majority of borosilicate (boro) flameworking. Shade 3.0 lens blocks 100% of UV light and 95% of near-IR infrared light.
