Vintage Hand Painted Tole Ware Black Wooden Box Dove Tail Signed B L 1952.

Wonderful example of painted toleware on wooden black box with red double sectional interior. The lid of the box is hand painted or stenciled in a beautiful but simple floral pattern. The sides, have a consistent geometric pattern, similar to an old fashioned tin ceiling. It is signed in gold script, B L and dated 1952. There are some scuffs and scratches due to its age, see photos. Still a nice piece of history.
