Vintage Marcello Giorgio Silver Plated Sculpture Framed as a Picture.

The intricate metalwork depicts a tranquil harbour scene - looking very much like Venice.  In the foreground a rowboat is beached against a tree, and in the background rustic houses line the water's edge.  The metalwork is exquisite.  In certain places the silver has been textured to mimic the effect of wood on the boat and the trees. Signed by Marcello Giorgio, marked with his sunburst hallmark, and also signed by the artist who worked with Giorgio.  Framed in a wood and gilt frame which looks to be original to the piece.  Made in the 1980s.

The sculpture/picture is in fine form.  Minor nicks to the frame, particularly to the gilt - please look carefully at the photograph.  As this is a heavy piece, the frame has been reinforced at the back.  It currently has a small hook for hanging, but you might wish to attach stronger picture hooks.  Still, it remains a beautiful piece ready to hang.

The metalwork is 26cm x 18.5cm (10 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches), and the frame is 52cm x 44cm (20 1/2 x 17 1/4 inches).
