Jeanne Bell (1888 - 1978) Miniature Bronze Sculpture of a Little Girl Clutching a Bouquet of Flowers.

Dorothy Jeanne Bell was a British sculptor who was born, raised and worked in Hampstead, London.  Working in many media, including bronze, stone, earthenware, wood and ivory, Jeanne Bell began exhibiting her work in the 1920s.  She has exhibited with the Society of Women Artists, the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the Walker Art Gallery, the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society, and the Royal Miniature Society.

This piece has been seen and authenticated by the the Royal Miniature Society.  Almost all of Jeanne Bell's work is in private collections, and it is rare for a piece to become available.  The last time her work came up for sale was at Bonhams in 2006.  So this is a rare opportunity to own a piece by an important but under-sung female British artist.  Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

Signed by the artist, this piece stands 10cm tall with a diameter of 3.5cm.  It weighs 411 grams.
