The #8214 is for Pride (and some other manufacturers) heat/massage chairs made after November 2006 that has a quick disconnect plug on the end of the cord; it is a straight connector, and plugs into an extension cable either in the side pocket of the chair, or in the back of the chair.  That extension cable then plugs into a control box mounted under the chair.

This control will work as long as it has a straight quick disconnect connector plug, and it is an standard size chair with one motor that picks the chair up & down, and a heat & massage system that plugs into that same control box.  If you don’t know whether your chair has one or two motors, lie the chair down on its side and look underneath; there will either be one motor or two motors that raise and lower the chair.

The original controls like this are extremely hard to get, so we usually substitute one of the new model quick disconnect controls, and we also include an extension cable, so that the cord will be long enough to reach the control box mounted to the motor.  It works the same way; it’s just an upgrade to the original one piece cord controls.
