Desk Phone

Made by Automatic Electric this is an all original and complete desk phone that has a Bakelite body and handset.

Type AE 40 Monophone. These were made starting in 1940

This was removed from service and my brother-in-law who worked for the phone company has had it all these years. 

Never restored, never altered. It has the original mechanism inside. The outside is in excellent condition. Never beat up, never restored. There are no chips in the Bakelite body or handset.

You would look hard and long to find a better one!

5" high, 5 1/4" wide and 8" deep.
