These corms are the first year seeds to grow Elephant garlic and prized as a budget entry to this very high value product. 

Planted in Autumn and harvested in July, the "Corms" grow into "Rounds" and a few corms too. 

When harvested, cured and replanted the following Autumn, the Rounds grow into the gigantic Elephant Garlic. (you can also just eat the rounds too, they are equally delicious)

When planting Corms, clip off the pointy tip and soak for 24-48 hours in water. they remove the outer skin and sow into pots or cells under cover before planting out once they have established roots and sent up the first leaves.
