HD CARBURETTORS - Throttle Spindle seals
Due to the negative impact of ETHANOL on Cork, SU Carburettors have devised an alternative method of sealing Throttle Spindles. Included in this Major Re-Build Kit is a Pack (WZX966) for each Carburettor, each containing 2 “Rubber” Seals and 2 Retaining Spacers. With the lip towards the Carburettor body the Seal should be placed on the Throttle Spindle followed by the Retaining Spacer. Both are then pushed into the Carburettor until the Retainer Spacer is level with the body (Instructions included). The original cork seals are still available if required.

Check before you use E10 Petrol in your Classic Car.
E10 means petrol contains up to 10% renewable ethanol. To date, petrol in the UK has contained up to 5% renewable ethanol (known as E5).
During summer 2021, the standard (or ‘Premium’) petrol grade in the UK will become E10.
If your vehicle is not compatible with E10 fuel, you will still be able to use E5 by purchasing the ‘Super’ grade petrol from most filling stations.
Filling stations will clearly label petrol as either E10 or E5.
Ethanol is known to degrade rubber and many metals and alloys used in Classic Car Fuel systems
If you do fill up with E10, dilute with E5 as soon as possible.
