The “TOKIO” trainer was released in 1962 for the
1964 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
Nigo’s Human Made is no stranger to a vibrant
adidas collab, and the Tokio Solar HU is the pair’s latest. It’s modelled on
low-profile track runners from the sneaker giant’s archives, crafted with an
emerald knit and overlaid with retro-inspired panels of suede and serrated
white leather.
The model is equipped with a cushioned Boost
sole. The modern Primeknit upper contrasts with the heritage-inspired suede
T-toe and mudguard details, as well as the X heel reinforcement. The iconic
Human Made heart logo appears as an embossed heel patch on both shoes.
