Latex socks fitted commonly on suits used for surface watersports in which the 3D sock have more of a foot shape moulded in. The biggest difference is not the shape but the dimension across the top which determines which type can be fitted to which suit. You need to measure the ankle of the suit where the new sock is to be fitted. If you measure this flat across and then double it you get the circumference. Ideally the suit should be 1-2cm bigger than the sock which allows the latex to very, very slightly stretched on which gives the best finish. If the sock is bigger than the suit you will end up with creases in the latex which will probably leak.

The seals are pre-glued with a heat activated adhesive that only requires a hair dryer or heat gun to activate.

Instructions to Replace Seal

All you need to find piece of cardboard or chipboard large enough to fit inside the suit in order to hold the suit ankle as flat as possible. Cut off perished or torn seal from the connection point to drysuit ( just under tape-leave 2cm). Turn to suit inside-out, if you mounting the seal inside of leg . Put the seal through over inside suit tape (2cm-2.5cm over).Apply the seal by applying heat to activate the glue (don't forget lay a piece of cloth on seal)and use a seam roller for a good pressure down ,after that check edges. if its coming away ,not stick strongly then apply 15-20sec heat again . After you applied heat for both sides of socks ,Now you should rotate your cardboard 90degrees for missed piece at the end.

Don't start pulling the seal after job done :) because still glue will be hot just let it cool down for couple of hours.

If you using domestic IRON turn off steam function off (no water) and need full heat .Don't forget to put a piece of cloth lay over the seal while you applying heat on it.

NOTEIf you’re applying on inside of suit, select PRE-GLUED to the outside of the seals.
