 For over 3,000+ Years the Ancient Egyptians have been mining turquoise from the Sinai region of Egypt. This is RARE, Egyptian Spiderwebbed turquoise INTENSE blues and deep red matrix. These are THICK cabs, and will bezel very nicely in your silver or gold settings.

History- Sinai was called Mafkat ("Country of Turquoise") by the ancient Egyptians.  The mines were worked intermittently and on a seasonal basis for thousands of years. Locals still sell little bits of turquoise, but are VERY secretive about the location of their small dig mines.

*For about 6 weeks I carefully hand selected each stone to be placed in their "stone cluster". I tried to keep like hues/colors/webbing in the same family. We also have larger (individual Egyptian cabs available in the store as well as other Mines).
