Underwater flashlight USSR model RPF-55 has a very simple design. 

A reflector, a cartridge with an incandescent bulb and two cylindrical batteries are placed in a strong metal case.

The RPF-55 underwater hand lamp began to be produced in 1955 and was used by divers and combat swimmers of the USSR Navy until the end of the 90s of the last century. 

It was intended for use under water and on land. In the first case - for local illumination of the aquatic environment at a depth of up to 30 m, in the second - for giving light signals and as a lighting device.
