Sometime in the Middle Ages. Count Thibault Malfete and his faithful squire André are on their way to Malfete's wedding to the beautiful Lady Rosalind. But a malicious rival doesn't begrudge the count his luck and tries to thwart the wedding with a poisonous cocktail. The end of the song: Thibault is alive, but the beautiful Rosalind is dead.
With the help of the court magician, Thibault wants to undo what happened. A magic potion is supposed to send him back a few minutes into the past so that the disaster cannot take its course. Unfortunately, instead of reverse gear, the idiotic magician has put the car in forward gear. Thibault and André land straight in Chicago in the year 2000. There they meet Julia Malfete, a modern descendant of the Count. Without further ado, she takes the strange duo home with her, which her fiancé Hunter is not at all enthusiastic about. The technological achievements of the 21st Century amazes the time travelers, and the table manners are still a little lacking...but with their naïve charm, Thibault and André turn Julia's life and all of Chicago upside down.
