This is a red headed beauty! Some of the Meteor (glow) engines had been produced / converted as diesel engines at the manufacturer´s site. Please note the original handwriting on the red anodized head: 12 roubles and 50 copecks was the price tag for this engine (the glow versions had a "price: 12 roubles" casting on their head!
This engine could be unused or hardly used for there are no mounting marks visible.
Engine is clean, turns over easily and has strong compression. It just "escaped" from a showcase where it has been living for some years (was part of a collection). Comes with a copy of the original Russian manual (glow version - there had been no extra manual for the diesel conversions).
An engine which is already a today´s rarity!
