Fear is rampant in a small Serbian farming village: a vampire regularly visits the local mill and kills. Luckily, the day laborer Strahinja agrees to hunt down the vampire. He hopes that this will give him a better chance of asking the grumpy farmer Zivan for his daughter Radojka's hand. When Strahinja is also attacked by the vampire and can only escape with difficulty and distress, the men of the village first search for the vampire's grave together and help Strahinja to kidnap the beautiful Radojka. But the night before the wedding, he gets a nasty surprise...
