Set in the beautiful rolling Sussex countryside with a commanding view towards the coast is Hogg Hill Mill (also known as The Mill Studios), East Sussex, England. Paul McCartney bought the 1781 Mill and its buildings in the late 1970s, saving and restoring the Mill to its former glory, building his recording studios around the base. Paul's tribute song to John Lennon 'Here Today' was written at the Mill and many of McCartney’s albums from 1984 onwards have either been partly or wholly recorded in the studios including the classics 'Flaming Pie' and 'McCartney III'. The surviving Beatles famously recorded their contributions to John's home demos ('Real Love', 'Free as a Bird') for the Beatles Anthology project in 1994/95 at the studio.
