1929, Modena, Italy, Enzo Ferrari creates Scuderia Ferrari. Literally, translated into English as 'Stable Ferrari', Scuderia had been assigned to Team Ferrari for the company was more a personification of high performance than street motoring. Alfa Romero commissioned Ferrari with a designation for street car development, to an extent. Ferrari's Alfa Romero focus was the development of high performance Grand Prix cars for 'gentleman drivers'. Although, it became a racing division of Alfa Romero's, eventually. Ferrari became primary management for Alfa Romero's racing division, Alfa Corse. Yet, in 1939, Ferrari left Alfa Romero with the provision that Ferrari would not develop anything under 'Scuderia' for four years, Auto Avio Costruzioni was then created. Manufacturing mostly tools, machines, and aeronautic parts, it wasn't until 1940 that car design became the focus, again. 1947, the 125 S, the very first Ferrari badge was assigned to a car. Funding Scuderia, the 125 S established 'Scuderia Ferrari' whereupon the car manufacturer took high performance vehicles to the farthest reaches of car design and engineering. For the next 10 years, Ferraris are entered into races across the world. In the 1960s, Fiat took 50% stake in the company, forming Società Esercizio Fabbriche Automobili e Corse.

Ferrari Scuderia has always been identified with the prancing pony, Cavallino Rampante which, originally, was an inspiration that Ferrari had in 1923. He'd won a horse race in Ravenna where he'd met the Countess Paolina who was the mother of Count Fancesco Baracca, a WWI ace pilot who'd painted a prancing pony on the side panels of his planes. It was a suggestion of the countess' that Ferrari do the same to maintain the same luck that he'd had in horse racing, in car development.

Needless to say, Ferrari has always been the mark of luxury, quality, sport, and style. Let it be in dynamics or fashion, Ferrari has sustained such elegance in character and quality.
