Characteristics of the plant
Zephyrantes has a bulbous root system. The bulbs are oblong, in some species oval or round in shape. The bulbs are small, only 0.5-3 mm long. Numerous leaf rosettes consist of bright green leaves of a pointed shape, which are 20-35 cm long and about 3 mm wide. Some varieties have hollow tubular leaves.
Flowering lasts about 2 months. Depending on the species, single flowers located on the peduncle come in different colors – yellow, snow-white, pink or purple. The flowers are medium-sized, similar to a crocus. They consist of 6 wide-opening petals of a pointed shape. Yellow stamens are concentrated in the center of the core. Lighting
Zephyrantes needs enough sunlight. Window sills located in the southern part of the room will suit him. On excessively hot days, you should create shading or remove the plant from the windowsill for a while to avoid overheating.
Air temperature and humidity

Seed
Seeds must be sown immediately after their appearance, otherwise after a couple of months they lose all their properties. Every month the percentage of germination decreases. Seeds are sown in shallow wells in boxes with peat-sandy soil. After that, the soil is thoroughly sprayed and covered with a film.
