French Louis XV Pair Armchairs Aubusson Tapestry Carved Cherry Wood

Elegant pair of armchairs in carved cherry wood upholstered in 19th century aubusson tapestry made during the first half of the 20th century  inspired by the "fauteuil à la Reine" of Louis Delanois. It's hand carved with cabriole legs and square backs with padded arms,these seats  are ample and comfy. They are in very good condition for the carved wood and theAubusson flowered tapestry no stains or threads, as presented on the following pictures. 36 3/4" height overall, 17 1/8" seating height, 26 1/8" width, 23 1/4" depth.This pair of seats can match a set with another pair of armchair we have listed in the same time.

For our  French-speaking friends: Belle copie d'une paire de fauteuils à la Reine de Louis Delanois, dossier plat en bois de merisier dit à la Grecque garnis de tapisseries d'Aubusson, absence de fleurettes, montage traditionnel chevillé. Ils sont en bel état, rares petits chocs, tapisserie propre. Il sont nés pendant la première moitié du XXème sciecle, les tapisseries sont plus anciennes. Delanois se rend à Paris en 48 avec l'impérative soudaineté d'une mode au lendemain de l'agencement du Cabinet de La Live de Juilly, la rocaille se démode, il est reçu maître en 1761 et sera l'un des guides de la jeune école. Hauteur totale 93,2 cm, hauteur d'assise 43,3 cm, largeur 66,2 cm, profondeur 59 cm.
