Matchbox Lesney Products Heritage Series Silver Jubilee Coat Of Arms 1952-1977.
In 1975 Lesney (Matchbox) released a range of silver plated die cast models, there were two series, Pub Signs and the Heritage Series of which this was part of the collection. These are hard to find pieces and the two ranges were short lived. Part of the Heritage collection were altered to take advantage of the late Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977.
This Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee souvenir crests would once have had a cream label with black script commmemorating the Silver Jubilee 1952-1977. The crest is the Royal Coat of Arms, different front and back, silver plated diecast, it would once have had a hard plastic base stamped 'LENSEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD C1975' this is missing, but the model displays the same information on the underside.
Part of the Heritage silver plated series, there are also some small signs of tarnishing. A fine Royal souvenirs, becoming harder to find. 2.25" x 0.75" (6cm x 2.5cm)
