A lovely antique flask, not at all ornate but instead more of a utilitarian style - could quite possibly have been army issue. 


Lid is stuck pretty solid, there's some surface scratching and denting which is to be expected for its age (around 150-160yrs)


There's also a significant dent which has resulted in a small hole (see pics). I've no provenance for the item, but I'd like to think this damage could easily have been caused during battle - perhaps by a musket ball or bayonet. Speculative, I know, but a cool thing to imagine.
