A really lovely piece of handcrafted Southwestern decor! You only see a few of these by this artist up at a time. He has signed his name, Lowe. The material is ceramic and the disc inside makes a really wonderfully resonant sound. There is a real sense of space to that sound (how this is managed I have no idea!) and you think of the distances out West. Lovely little jalapeno peppers dangle from the sounding disc. I noticed at the tip of one was a little white spot and I wasn't sure whether it had been where it missed the paint when this was being prepared. I touched that up with a little bit of red pigment but I did not feel any real roughness there or anything. Just a little bit of TLC and attention you sometimes have to give to wonderful vintage items. This should be enjoyable indoors or out.
