This hardcover is in good condition but is missing its dust jacket. The hardcover itself is in very good condition with good fabric and gilt lettering on spine is good. The first page has an inscription, For Professor Hans Toch, with the author's compliments. Of course, Professor Hans Toch died in 2021, which may well be where this book came from. And I have no reason to disbelieve the inscription on the first blank page. However, it is my book and that's what I really want to believe. So, let's say it is most probably from the author, but not assuredly.
